I have chased shiny things for too long. Simplifying life, cutting out extraneous activities, saying goodby to draining people and reclaiming my time. My art has undergone a complete transformation in the last two (very eventful) years. Several years ago I realized my technical skills were good, but my paintings lacked the ability to draw someone from across the room. This is the power I have been tapping into. I've been taking classes in Ehecatl Art, which is American Indian for spirit led painting. Wow. It's been over a year. A really busy, personally crappy, artistically creative year. Mom's now healthy again, everything is moved in her house, our house and my studio, my surgery is complete, ending two years of health issues, and my son is back in school. I can only hope this year is calmer. I'm ready to hit the ground running & produce lots of new art.
